FAQ

Can I join the class at any time?

Yes, all adults classes are ongoing and can be joined at any time. Routines are built up weekly, but I always go over previous parts before teaching new material.

Always check facebook for changes in timetable due to holidays, or call me on 07810 750950.

Can I pay weekly?

Yes. You can pay by  contactless card and PayPal.

What should I wear?

Lightweight comfortable clothes that you can move & stretch in, i.e. track suits, t-shirts, jogging pants, normal exercise clothes. Non marking trainers or jazz shoes.

Do I need a partner?

No. Although the routines are worked on as a group, it’s not partner dancing it’s similar to the way a fitness class is taught.

Where? when? how much?

In and around Exeter, Devon, click on classes button above for maps, times and prices.

How old are your pupils?

My adult classes have a real mix of age groups from late teens to 70’s but everyone is welcome.

What is jazz dance?

The style of dancing is like you’d see in musicals and on TV. Jazz dance is not to do with jazz music, it’s a style of dancing that can be taught to many different types of music. Mainly I teach to chart / pop, but I use tracks from swing to funk.

I have some dance experience, which class should I come to?

If you’ve done a lot of dancing then the intermediate class is for you, if you think you’re a bit rusty then come to the beginners / improvers class and see how you go, you can always change at a later date.

Do I need to bring anything?

For Wednesday’s fitness class you will need a yoga mat and a resistance band. It’s a good idea for all classes to bring some water to drink and be ready to smile.
